Meet Information:
o No regular practice at the Rec Center in the morning
o Meet in northeast lobby of Provo High (by the bulldog statue) at 8:30 am.
▪ Swimmers will attend the first hour of their first period classes and then will be excused to meet for the bus. Please cause the least disruption possible in your classes when you leave! I will excuse your leaving and missing the rest of the school day.
▪ ALL swimmers must be on the bus to go to the meet!
o Warm up times (our warm up session will be assigned to us later this week):
▪ 11:00 am - Warm-up Session #1
▪ 11:35 am - Warm-up Session #2
▪ 12:10 pm – Warm-up Session #3
o Meet times:
▪ 1:00 pm - Meet Starts First Event (Events 1 through 8)
▪ 4:30 pm - Estimated Conclusion of Day’s Events
o At the conclusion of the meet, we will talk with the swimmers and then return to PHS on the bus. Please be at the school to pick up your swimmers promptly.
o Swimmers are responsible for eating breakfast before we leave, bringing a healthy lunch. We have parents that are providing snacks for the swimmers to munch on throughout the meet. Please ensure that all swimmers have water bottles with them!

▪ 7:35 am - Warm-up Session #2
▪ 8:10 am - Warm-up Session #3
o Meet times:
▪ 9:00 am – Begin Events 9 through 22
▪ 4:00 pm – Estimated Conclusion of Meet
o At the conclusion of the meet, we will talk to the swimmers and then head to eat some food.
o After we eat, we will return to PHS on the bus. Please be at the school to pick up your swimmers promptly.
o Again, parents have signed up to provide snacks for swimmers to munch on throughout the meet. Swimmers are responsible for eating breakfast before we leave. Please ensure that all swimmers have water bottles with them
• Other information:
o Swimmers are expected to stay at the meet for its duration both days. Swimmers are part of the PHS Swim Team and they are expected to support their teammates in every event they swim. They can also learn a great deal from watching other races/other swimmers swim. There will be about 35teams at this meet, so this is a great time to watch and learn and cheer for your team.
o Swimmers may leave the meet after it is over and we have finished talking with the team ONLY with their own parent or guardian if they do not want to ride on the bus. The parent/guardian must sign them out for them to be able to leave. Please do not ask to sign out a swimmer before the meet is over and the coaches are finished talking with the team following the last event of the meet.
